Community Gardens
When I first started to research about community gardens I had no idea about the amount of community gardens that there are in America. I honestly only thought that there were maybe 30 to 40 community gardens in large urban areas. To my surprise I found out that not only were there over thousands of community gardens across America but there were also different types of community gardens. When researching I also found that community gardens give people in large cities or smaller cities the opportunity to bond and connect with individuals within those communities. These gardens make for a more healthy way of living not just by what is being planted but also by the interactions between those individuals in those communities. Furthermore community gardens help the environment to become more sustainable and Eco-friendly. On the website of ACGA, which is the American Community Gardening Association it states that community gardens adds more oxygen to the atmosphere than most forest across the world. These community gardens make our environment beautiful and the interactions that happen with the individuals in those communities are priceless.
